Ceatec 2010: Hands on with Panasonic's 3D camera

Panasonic's 3D obsession encompasses more than TVs. Here at Ceatec 2010 is the company's full complement of gadgets capable of recording, storing, and displaying 3D video and images. Panasonic introduced the 3D camera at Photokina in Cologne, Germany, a few weeks ago, but there was a demonstration area set up here to test the 3D Lumix GH2 camera, so we tried it out.

Fujifilm W3 - A "First Impressions" Review by William Meredith

I bought the Fujifilm W3 expecting that it might be an "almost, but not quite there" attempt at what I was looking for in a 3D camera. And I made very sure I could return it when it fell short of my expectations. After one day on full auto, I'm totally impressed with its design, quality and capabilities.

Loreo is an Asian company that has been on the market for quite some time, offering 3D lens in a cap type of adapters that allow you to take stereo 3D photos with a single camera. What these adapters do is to get the views for the left and right eye in a single frame which lets say better than average quality.

Minoru (meaning Reality in Japanese) is an interesting product in the form of a web camera that uses two lenses and two CMOS sensors in order to be able to take Stereoscopic 3D pictures and videos. The camera is not much expensive than a good normal webcam and even looks cute...

Fujifilm has just announced the successor of their W1 consumer 3D camera and that is the new W3 which brings some cosmetic improvements in the design as well as some technical ones and all that apparently comes with a more attractive price.
